How well you communicate can influence how others view your work, performance, and prospects for career mobility. Although all of us talk and listen to one another, we may not be communicating. Within fast-paced and complex work environments, it’s not surprising that misunderstandings occur. Sponsored by the Faculty and Staff Assistance Program, Communication Skills for Emerging Leaders will help you learn to actively listen in a variety of situations, listen for different types of input and respond appropriately, and identify pertinent information. You must complete the corresponding online CBL prior to enrolling in the course. To register for the session, visit ULearn and follow the instructions to log on. For more information, call 305-284-5110 or 305-243-3090.

• Coral Gables campus: Tuesday, July 20 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
• Miller School of Medicine campus: Thursday, July 22 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
