Class outlines salary-transfer procedures

This salary transfers class will cover the following topics: how to initiate a salary transfer to another account, forms to use, proper documentation, justification required by the government, deadlines for processing documents, and government rules for salary (cost) transfers. It will also cover several aspects of the payroll system such as: payroll default accounts, how to journal salaries out of default accounts, deadlines, forms, and the importance of clearing default accounts.

This two-day class will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday, January 12 and 13, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. in Dominion Towers, tenth-floor conference room. Register for this workshop through ULearn. NIH update presentation

Are you planning to submit an application to the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in 2010? Did you know the NIH is implementing major changes to all competing applications with due dates on or after January 25, 2010? These changes include restructured application forms, new instructions that will affect your research plan and biosketch, and shorter page limits.

The Office of Research Education and Training will conduct an NIH update meeting on Tuesday, January 12 from 9 to 10 a.m. in the Flipse Building, Room 502, on the Coral Gables campus. Come and learn about the new requirements and how grant applications will be affected.
