Speak into the open mic on Friday, January 29 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Oasis Deli Café at the Whitten University Center, as the Creative Writing program features Neil de la Flor, M.F.A. ’05. Neil’s literary work has been published in several journals, and his first book of poetry, Almost Dorothy, won the 2009 Marsh Hawk Press Poetry Prize and is forthcoming in 2010.

Enjoy an evening of fiction, poetry, and music—whether you’re there to perform or to listen. USpeak will be taped and broadcast by WVUM, UM’s student radio station, and is sponsored in part by the UM Citizens Board and Auxiliary Services. The event is free and open to the public.
