School of Communication alumnus to screen award-winning film at Cosford

School of Communication alumnus Kyle Patrick Alvarez will screen his debut film Easier with Practice at the Bill Cosford Cinema on Monday, February 15 at 7 p.m. as part of the school’s annual Communication Week.

Winner of the Best International Feature Prize at the 63rd Edinburgh International Film Festival, Easier with Practice was written and directed by Alvarez, a 2005 motion picture program graduate. The film stars Brian Geraghty and is based on a novelist who embarks on a promotional tour with his brother and receives a phone call from a stranger.

The film also won the Grand Jury Prize at the 11th Annual CineVegas Film Festival and has been screened at more than a dozen other prestigious film festivals.
