Miriam Bitton
The School of Law’s Faculty Lecture Series continues on Wednesday, September 22 with visiting professor Miriam Bitton, who will present “Formalized Public Domain” in the law school’s fourth-floor faculty meeting room. The lecture begins at 12:35 p.m., following a lunch at noon in the same room. A question-and-answer session will follow the lecture.
Bitton is a law professor at Bar-Ilan University School of Law in Ramat-Gan, Israel. A former visiting assistant professor of law at DePaul University College of Law, she was also the Microsoft Research Fellow at the University of California-Berkeley School of Law and a visiting fellow at George Washington University Law School.
Bitton writes and teaches in the fields of intellectual property law, law and technology, and property. She is the winner of the prestigious Alon Fellowship for the years 2009-2011 (granted by the Council of Higher Education in Israel to promising junior faculty members in Israel) and the 100,000 EUROs Marie Curie International Reintegration Grant (granted by the European Union Commission).

Join the Office of Research Education and Training Team for the Sponsored Programs quarterly meeting on Wednesday, September 22 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Clinical Research Building, Room 988. The meeting will provide the UM research community with Sponsored Programs updates.
