The University of Miami Developmental Center for AIDS Research will host a Working Conference targeting an emerging area of research interest: HIV in mature and older women. The conference, the goal of which is to develop multidisciplinary research proposals, will feature presentations such as “Metabolic Syndrome, Menopause, and Hormonal Changes,” “Sex, Aging, and Immunological Functioning,” and “Osteoporosis and HIV.” It will be held on Thursday, September 3 at the Gordon Auditorium Seminar Room on the first floor of the Clinical Research Building, starting at 8 a.m. The conference is limited to 80 participants.
