EAP offers seminar in relaxation training

The Employee Assistance Program is offering a relaxation training seminar for those interested in improving their capacity to effectively use relaxation techniques. This seminar will help participants identify the fight-or-flight response (with triggers), discuss ways to promote the parasympathetic (relaxation) response, and engage in practical techniques to promote relaxation.

Coral Gables campus: Tuesday, August 18 from 12 to 1 p.m. in the Max Orovitz Building, Room 139.

Miller School campus: Thursday, August 20 from 12 to 1 p.m. in the Dominion Parking Garage, Room 155.

ITIL Foundations Course

Attend this course, which provides a comprehensive introduction to the concepts, terms, objectives, and benefits of the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) best practices framework. ITIL is a non-proprietary set of best practices for Information Technology Service Management. Many organizations throughout the world use the ITIL framework to improve the effectiveness, efficiency, and quality of IT services. The three-day class, running from  Tuesday through Thursday, August 18-20, includes the certification exam and costs $1,275. It will be held at the Blue Lagoon complex.
