Renew, replace, or obtain a new Florida Driver’s License on Coral Gables campus

Need to renew, replace, or obtain a new Florida Driver’s License? Need to switch your out-of-state driver’s license? Need to renew your Florida Vehicle Registration? The University of Miami Police Department is bringing the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles’ mini-FLOW (Florida Licensing on Wheels) to the Coral Gables campus from Wednesday through Friday, August 26-28.

UM Police is bringing Mini-FLOW to campus for your convenience during the first week of class. Through mini-FLOW, you can renew, replace, exchange, or get a new Florida State Driver’s license, as well as renew your vehicle registration. (Please note that written exams and driving tests will not be offered). No appointment is necessary; simply stop by at your convenience from 9:30 a.m.  to 3:30 p.m. The mini-FLOW will be set up in the first-floor lounge of the University Center. Technology Tips and Shortcuts of Today’s Top Administrative Professionals

As part of an Audio Conference Lunch and Learn Series, the Professional Development and Training office offers an audio conference on the “Technology Tips and Shortcuts of Today’s Top Administrative Professionals.” The program will explore and explain new technology concepts to keep you up-to-date, critical techniques to improve your search results, tools to increase your efficiency, and shortcuts to increase your productivity. Controller’s Office offers DMAS/FRS training session

The Controller’s Office is offering a DMAS/FRS training session on the Coral Gables campus. This informative three-hour overview session is designed to help new DMAS users better understand the University’s financial system and the basic terms and concepts of FRS. The class is also a useful refresher for existing users who may not have had the benefit of training from the Controller’s Office. The class takes place on Thursday, August 27 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Professional Development and Training Office in the Max Orovitz Building, first floor, Room 139. The Office of Research Information Management is offering a Velos Patient Management Workshop for study team members, coordinators, research nurses, and all study personnel involved in managing patients. Come and learn how this system will help you manage your patients. This hands-on module includes discussions on patient enrollment, patient status management, and patient calendars.
