President Donna E. Shalala will once again serve as Leader of the Pack at the 2010 Purina Walk for the Animals. This one-mile stroll takes place at Bayfront Park in downtown Miami on Saturday, February 20. The walk will benefit the Humane Society of Greater Miami Adopt-A-Pet. President Shalala serves on the Board of Trustees of the society, an animal awareness organization with a no-kill shelter that holds 250 dogs and cats looking for loving homes.The Purina Incredible Dog Team will be performing and there will be an agility course for dogs to run as well as “paw-art” and a bounce house for kids. Check-in begins at 8:30 a.m., and the walk commences at 10 a.m. Each pack member who raises at least $100 will receive a pack T-shirt and goodie bag.
