Leaders from National Academies to discuss engineering innovations in health care

The National Academy of Engineering and the Institute of Medicine will join together for the first time at the regional meeting and panel discussion on “Engineering Innovations in Healthcare” at the University of Miami on Thursday, February 25.

Hosted by James M. Tien, Distinguished Professor and Dean of the College of Engineering, and Daniel Berg, Distinguished Research Professor of Engineering, the event will draw a world-renowned group of speakers and feature remarks, presentations, and a panel discussion moderated by UM President Donna E. Shalala.

The event, which starts at 1:30 p.m., will take place at Storer Auditorium at the School of Business Administration. It is free and open to the public but reservations are needed. Contact Odalis Ruiz at 305-284-6035 or e-mail [email protected].
