Nestor De La Cruz-Munoz, assistant professor of surgery and chief of the Division of Laparoendoscopic and Bariatric Surgery, will present “Metabolic Surgery: What Is It? And Where Are We Now?” on Thursday, May 20 from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. at the Rosenstiel Medical Science Building, fourth-floor auditorium. Upon completion of this lecture, participants will be able to discuss the different theories of improvement of diabetes and metabolic syndrome after GI tract surgery.
