The Miami-Florida European Union Center of Excellence, a partnership with Florida International University and the Jean Monnet Chair of the University of Miami, will host a book presentation, “Spain in the European Union: The First 25 Years (1986-2011),” on Monday, May 9 (Europe’s Day) at 7:30 p.m. at the Spanish Cultural Center, 800 Douglas Road, Suite 170. Cristina Barrios, consul general of Spain, will give opening remarks, and Joaquín Roy, Jean Monnet Professor and director of the European Union Center, University of Miami, will give the presentation.
