Brown-Bag Lunch-and-Learns Explore Living Well with Hearing Loss

May is Better Speech and Hearing Month, and the University of Miami Ear Institute, part of UHealth – University of Miami Health System, invites employees to explore “Living Well with Hearing Loss” through a series of brown-bag lunch-and-learn sessions. The free sessions will help attendees learn more about early detection and treatment options for hearing loss and related disorders. The third and final session, to be held on Friday, May 27 from 12 to 1 p.m. in the Clinical Research Building, Room 989, will explore causes for dizziness and imbalance, common misconceptions in the management and treatment of dizziness, current treatment options, and vestibular rehabilitation.

Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Seminar Series: RNA Based Mechanism of Alzheimer’s Disease

Mohammad Ali Faghihi, assistant professor of psychiatry and behavioral sciences at the Miller School of Medicine, will present “RNA Based Mechanism of Alzheimer’s Disease” on Friday, May 27 at 12 p.m. in the Gautier Building, Room 118.
