A representative from Apple will host three informational sessions in the Lois Pope LIFE Center, seventh-floor auditorium, on Thursday, May 26. In the two-hour afternoon session, which is open to all UM medical students, faculty and staff, the representative will showcase the iPad2 and MacBooks as well as share the latest news about Apple. The session will take place from 1 to 3 p.m. Two technical one-hour Q&A sessions at 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. will address topics on managing Macs on a campus network. The morning sessions are specifically targeted for designated department IT liaisons, IT network specialists, engineers, and service center support staff. The Bascom Palmer Eye Institute/Department of Ophthalmology will present grand rounds on Thursday, May 26 from 7:30 to 9 a.m. in the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute Retter Educational Center Auditorium. Ophthalmology residents and fellows will present interesting or unusual cases. The University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine designates this educational activity for a maximum of 1.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit.
