Center for Latin American Studies screens Poto Mitan

The Center for Latin American Studies presents Poto Mitan, a documentary film about five courageous Haitian women and how their country’s harsh working and living conditions, violence, poverty, lack of education, and poor health care have affected their lives. A question-and-answer session with director Mark Schuller will follow. The film screens on Monday, October 12 at 7 p.m. in the Cosford Cinema.

Their stories give a living face to understanding and changing the inhumane working/living conditions, violence, poverty, lack of education, and poor health care that affect the population of Haiti.
