Legal Theory Workshop

Oct

12:00 pm

Attend the Legal Theory Workshop featuring Alejandro Portes, the Howard Harrison and Gabrielle Snyder Beck Professor of Sociology and director of the Center for Migration and Development at Princeton University, who will present “The American Health System and Immigration:  An Institutional Interpretation” on Friday, October 30. The lecture will focus on examining the institutions that comprise the American health system and their relationship to a surging immigrant population. The clash between the system and this human flow originate in the large number of immigrants who are unauthorized, poor, and uninsured, and are unable to access a system largely based on ability to pay.
