This seminar, offered through the Faculty and Staff Assistance Program (FSAP), provides participants with valuable information regarding U.S. Social Security benefits. A public affairs specialist from the Miami-Dade Social Security Administration Office will facilitate the seminar to help attendees understand eligibility criteria and the steps eligible persons may take to secure their benefits. A UM Benefits representative will also be in attendance to answer questions. The seminar will review Social Security benefits, retirement, disability, benefits to families of retirees and the disabled, survivor’s benefits, eligibility, computation of benefits, and Medicare.
