The Blackboard class website system at the University of Miami will be upgraded from 8.0 to 9.1 from July 2-3. This is a major improvement in the interface and workflow of the system. In order to be ready for it, faculty should attend a session that explains the differences. Training events have been scheduled from June 20 to July 6 to help those who have used Blackboard 8.0 become comfortable with Blackboard 9.1, particularly those teaching in Summer II or who want to get a head start on setting up their fall class sites on Blackboard. Rick Ramos, of the Instructional Advancement Center, will conduct the training.
There are numerous training dates from which to choose. Visit www.iacevents.org and register for one of the “Getting Comfortable with Blackboard 9.1” training sessions. For more information regarding registration, please contact Kelley Seaman at 305-284-2008.
