Help Find a Cure for Cancer at Relay for Life of Coral Gables

1617

The 2011 Relay For Life of Coral Gables will take place Saturday and Sunday, April 16 and 17, at George Merrick Park. Relay For Life is a true community event in which people of all ages and from all walks of life come together for a common cause: to find a cure for cancer. Relay For Life is an especially meaningful event for UM employees because it focuses on teambuilding and morale-boosting strategies. Food, fun, and camaraderie are all part of the Relay For Life experience. As part of the event, participants walk, jog, or run relay style around the tracks or pathways of a community field. Friends, local businesses, hospitals, schools, faith-based organizations, and other groups form teams of 10 to 15 people. For more information, stop by the Herbert Wellness Center on the Coral Gables campus on Thursday, March 17 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. or Wednesday, March 23, from 4 to 7 p.m.
