The Faculty and Staff Assistance Program (FSAP) offers this seminar for those interested in exploring how thoughts influence health. While many of us invest a great deal of time and energy into physically caring for our bodies, few of us consider the importance of taking the same care to assure our mindset also supports optimal health. Can we correlate health promotional behaviors and optimal bodily function with positive patterns of thought? Those who see the glass as “half full” may be on to something. Participants will:

• Review the influence of thought patterns on physiology
• Identify ways to convert negative thinking patterns and beliefs to ones that promote health
