Michael Norenberg, director of neuropathology and professor in the Department of Pathology at the Miller School of Medicine, will present “Mechanisms of Trauma-Mediated Cytotoxic Brain Edema” on Wednesday, September 9 from 9 to 10 a.m. at the Lois Pope LIFE Center, seventh-floor auditorium.

Visiting professor Albert Jan van den Berg will be presenting from his paper “Dissenting Opinions in International Arbitration” at the School of Law’s faculty seminar scheduled for Wednesday, September 9. Lunch will be served at 12 p.m. in the faculty conference room, room G480, on the fourth floor of the library, and the talk will begin at 12:35 p.m., followed by a question-and-answer session at 1:50 p.m.

Performance Improvement Management is a highly interactive series of four sessions and three computer-based learning (CBL) modules. The goal of the series is to set expectations for UM leaders and to develop the knowledge and skills required for effective employee performance management. Sessions occur on September 9 (PIM I), September 16 (PIM II), September 23 (PIM III), and November 18 (PIM IV) at the Dominion Parking Garage, Medical Professional Development and Training Office Training Room, Suite 155.
