Smooth presentation skills are career-enhancing assets that build credibility for administrative professionals. As part of an Audio Conference Lunch and Learn Series, the Professional Development and Training Office is offering the audio conference, “Gain Credibility While Presenting Ideas: Polished Skills of Successful Assistants.” This program will explain ways to prepare a dynamic presentation, how to increase confidence and competence in your presentation skills, how to handle the toughest questions and situations in front of a group or in meetings, and the biggest presentation mistakes. President Donna E. Shalala will host a special meeting of the Faculty Senate this Wednesday, September 23 at 3:30 p.m. in the Schwartz Center for Nursing and Health Studies, room 106. Faculty are always welcome to attend all Senate meetings, but this one offers a special opportunity to address questions and concerns directly to the president.
From 3 to 3:30 p.m., health staff will be administering flu shots in the lobby of the Schwartz Center free of charge. This shot is administered in the upper arm, so individuals should wear short-sleeved shirts if possible. Bring a ‘Cane card and a completed consent form.

Disbursements is now offering monthly eCheck training sessions through the online Elluminate Live! platform. eCheck is a University eFORM available in UMeNET that has replaced the paper check requisition process. The next online eCheck training is scheduled for Wednesday, September 23 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Log on to ULearn to sign up for the session.
