James Klaus presents a seminar for the Department of Biology titled “The Origin of Modern Caribbean Reefs: Evolution and Extinction from the Miocene to Recent” on Monday, October 5, in Cox 166 from 12:20 to 1:20 p.m. Klaus is an assistant professor in the Department of Geology. The focus of his research lies in the evolution and extinction of Cenozoic to recent reef corals, paleoecology of Cenozoic reef coral communities, and the geomicrobiology of modern coral reef ecosystems.
